demonstrations are a business opportunity

It's already Day 3 of the demonstration protesting the changes in the Constitution.

The segment of Rajadamnoen Ave. that is occupied by the demonstrators has been closed off to traffic.

The area is full of police officers, but it seems that the rally itself is losing steam.

A row of police officers guard the traffic barricade on Makkawan Bridge, in front of the UN building.

The protesters have set up tents, but the road is empty of people.

Yesterday morning, I was most impressed by the presence of a bunch of vendors who had set up shop along side the road.

They are certainly fast, and sensitive to every possible business opportunity!

Impressively, today there are only a handful of vendors compared to yesterday...which perfectly reflects the much fewer number of protesters who are still hanging in there.

It's the market at a glance.

I wonder where they normally do business...
