coat and baggage check

At the entrance of the castle in Marburg, Germany, there was a coat check, where we had to leave our luggage.

Quite empty, as it was almost closing time.

As we were handing over our bags, I noticed an unusual item that had been checked here:

a baby stroller with the child still in it!

I'm assuming this isn't usual practice for Germans, but I was rather impressed at how peaceful and safe Marburg must be, that the parents feel secure enough in leaving their child at the coat check.

I can't understand why the man working at the check would accept such a charge, though...
